The Special Education Recognition Awards (SERAs) promote special education for youth in the
community. They recognize those individuals and organizations who continuously give of their time,
energy and skills to help children in our community with exceptional needs. Our goal each year is to
emphasize the transformational impact that these individuals or companies are making in the
community.
The CAC SE recognizes all nominees, as they are all remarkable. Each nominee will receive a
“Certificate of Recognition”. In addition, each year the SERA selection panel chooses 3-5 nominees
to receive the Crystal SERA Award in special recognition of their outstanding efforts.
